WHAT IS OPEN DATABASE CONNECTIVITY TO MEDITECH?

The flexible ODBC layer of IPeople Direct gives you the power to directly access your MEDITECH database utilizing more universally known tools such as Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® SQL Server, Microsoft® Excel, Crystal Reports, and hundreds of other ODBC or OLE DB compliant applications. The link between IPeople Connect's Database Driver and direct access to MEDITECH data is provided by one of several interfacing layers including API, ODBC and OLE DB. These layers enable applications to access data in database management systems using Structured Query Language (SQL) as a standard.
