Migrate from Magic to Client Server Effortlessly

The migration from Magic to Client Server is a trend on the rise as MEDITECH continues to ‘FOCUS’ on enhancements to the Client Server 6.0 + technologies. As sites embark on the path of Magic to Client Server migration they are globally challenged with the requirement of paying ongoing maintenance fees for the Magic servers housing the data for historical purposes. IPeople’s Migrate solution provides a combination of proven services and technologies to ensure a successful migration from the Magic to Client Server environment, with a few perks along the way.

Components

• Download and archive Magic data to a SQL Server: IPeople will create and install a series of clinical and financial download packages from the MEDITECH Magic installation and populate the data into a designated SQL Server. Perk: Moving data off of the MEDITECH Magic server allows sites to avoid paying ongoing maintenance fees on the Magic servers.



• Web-based Views for accessing your archived Magic data: IPeople will provide a series of web based views providing the site with access to their archived data any time they need it. Perk: This database can be appended to the IPeople Offline Solution to provide a continuum of care for a patient account across multiple MEDITECH platforms.



• Synchronize dictionaries from Magic to Client Server: IPeople will conduct a series of snapshots, comparisons and synchronization of dictionaries to complete the ‘Magic to Client Server’ migration process. You’ve probably invested years building your dictionaries in MAGIC, and we want to help avoid a manual recreation in Client Server.
